State Route 87
We took the kids for an out-of-state road trip since my elder son was out of school for a week during this year's spring break. This time to Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA for a reunion with my husband's brother and his family.
We drove North of Arizona State Route 87 a.k.a. Beeline Highway to Payson, Arizona. This highway won the 1998 Merit Award in Rural Highway category from the U.S Federal Highway Administration.
Please excuse my dirty windshield.

Pasteles deliciosos
Delicious Mexican pastries from a panadera or bakery near my house. These are good eaten with coffee or hot chocolate. I like mine with hot Milo.
The last two photos are home made choncas or shell shaped bread made by my father-in-law who was a baker for 52 years before retiring in 2000. When he came to visit us in February he showed me how to make this Mexican sweet bread.

Atop a hill
I could see the Old Town of Puerto Peñasco from Sandy Beach. And one of the things that our friends suggested that we should do there was go to the Old Town and have dinner at The Lighthouse Restaurant.
Atop a hill overlooking Sandy Beach and the Old Town, we dined at The Lighthouse and witnessed spectacular view of sunset in Puerto Peñasco.
