Bagan means quay - a long, usually stone structure beside water, where boats can be tied up and their goods can be loaded or unloaded.
And Lalang is long coarse grass.

Bagan Lalang beach is in Sungai Pelek, Sepang, Selangor. I knew about Sungai Pelek since a few of my elementary school friends came from that area. But I never heard of Bagan Lalang Beach. The only popular beach destination in Selangor at that time was Morib Beach.

When my sisters and mom talked about Bagan Lalang beach, they raved over the fresh seafood offered by the local restaurants there. So last Sunday night Uji drove us to one of their favorite seafood restaurants. See what we ordered for 5 people!

I have to agree with you about the seafood in Bagan Lalang...one of the more popular sea food outlets in Selangor...
But Bagan Lalang certainly brings back more than memories on seafood...

Before leaving Port Dickson we stopped for lunch at a medan selera overlooking the Straits of Malacca. The photos were taken from the restaurant and along the beach nearby.

Perfect setting...another side of PD that not many have seen... Fri 23-Apr-2004 12:08
